Paint Shopkins Duplicates
My daughter collects Shopkins. They are little toys that are shaped like various items you would find in a store. Often times there are surprise packs where you don't know which one you are getting which leads to her having duplicates. I decided to paint the duplicates. In the pics they are paired up with the original ones on the left and the one I painted on the right.
Sunday
Reupholstered Stools
I reupholstered the stools in my kitchen. Then used never wet to keep them from getting dirty. I did them all in a different fabric to add some spunk to my kitchen. I like it!
Alcohol Bouquet
My friend is a father to be. I wanted to get him a gift since I got mommy to be a gift. It was easy to make. I took a wet foam block and put it inside a crown royal bag then surrounded it with beer. Used hot glue to attach kabob sticks to small alcohol bottles and put them through the foam. A little ribbon for decoration and boom!
Friday
Use Downy Unstopables as Wax Melts
As I have said before I just love the smell of Downy Unstopables. So when I am not doing laundry I use them as wax melts in my wax melts warmer. Make the house smell lovely!
Downy Unstopables Container
I absolutely love using Downy Unstopables. It smells amazing and you can use as much or as little as you want in each load. Naturally I have lots of the empty containers so I decided to use them to store snacks for my kiddos.
My only recommendation is to clean the container and lids several times. I even soaked them in vinegar water to remove the fragrance.
Thursday
DIY - Hide Your Router
I was sick of my router being an eyesore on a shelf so I decided to hide it.
This is what it looked like before.
Friday
Keep Your Fridge Smelling Fresh
I gathered lavender oil, baking soda and plastic jar with lid. I cleaned out the plastic jar, drilled small holes in the cap, filled the jar with baking soda, added a few drops of lavender oil to the baking soda, put lid on, and put in fridge. Change baking soda every month!
Sunday
Painted Light Switch and Outlet Covers
I bought unfinished wood light switch and outlet covers. Painted them white. Then used a stencil from Hobby Lobby and painted it turquoise. I also painted the screws to match. Easy and cute way to add a touch of uniqueness to my living room.
Thursday
Better Homes and Gardens Flip Tite Containers
Loving these new storage containers from Better Homes and Gardens. You can buy each one for about $5. They keep food organized and fresh. They are easy to open for kids but stay air tight. I plan on buying twice as many as I already have because I just like them so much.
Hanging Organizer
Simple storage solution for all my hair products.
I bought a hanging shoe organizer at Walmart. It cost about $7.
Then I hung it from the door in my dressing room and filled it with lots of hair styling products. Very easy storage solution that saves shelf space. Also because the holder is clear I can easily see everything I have in it.
