DIY PVC Goal Post

We were asked to make goal post decorations for a sports camp at our church.  This project was pretty simple.

My husband started by sketching it out.  I know his paper may not be helpful to you but start out by making a plan about how big you want it.

We bought 5 gallon buckets and spray painted them green.

My husband cut all of the PVC to the sizes he wanted using a hand saw.

We spray painted the pieces of PVC yellow.

We originally thought spray foam would hold the weight of the PVC but we quickly realized we needed to use concrete.

We stuck the bottom portion of the PVC in the concrete and used scrap wood to stabilize it while the concrete dried.  After it dried we connected the rest of the PVC.

This project took two days to complete because we had to wait for paint and concrete to dry.  Overall it was fairly simple and it made a big impact in terms of the decorations.

Below are a couple other items I made for the sports camp.  A scoreboard to be used as a decoration and clipboards for parents to use to fill out the forms.
