Wonderfold Wagon Costume

Let me start this post by first saying I LOVE my Wonderfold W4 Wagon. I have a couple other posts about it that details the accessories I use and how I extended the handlebar.

I use the WF (Wonderfold) everywhere I go and have no plans to ever use a different stroller again.

I have never made a costume for a stroller or wagon before but I wanted to make one this year.

My two youngest girls are going to be Elsa and Anna from Frozen and I wanted to have the WF look like a sleigh.

Here is how I made the costume.

I had 2 foam boards already that I bought from Walmart for $0.88 each for another project that I didn’t use. You will need 5 total to make this.

I decided to tape the back of the foam boards together as seem in the picture below.

I used a hot glue gun in between the seam on the front where the 2 foam boards come together.

I had this paint on hand and used that to paint the front.

After the paint dried I rounded the corners and cut it just a little to make it look more sleigh like.

I added a second coat of paint. Before the paint dried I sprinkled it with glitter.

I had this paint on hand and used it to paint the edges and around the foam board.

I used my Cricut to cut out snowflakes of various sizes. If you don’t have a Cricut I’m sure you can use foam snowflakes, lightweight snowflake shapes ornaments, paper cut into snowflake shapes or even paint your own.

I stuck the snowflakes onto the side of the foam board.

I purchased 3 more foam boards from Walmart so that I could make a matching side for the other side of the wagon and the front. I used clothes hanger clips to clip the pieces to the side of the wagon.

Is this project perfect?  No. Is this project cheap?  Absolutely.

I had most of the items on hand; the 2 foam boards, vinyl, paint and Velcro zip ties. I only ended up buying 3 foam boards. So for me I only put about $3 into it.
