Tablecloth Holder on Picnic Table

Instead of tablecloth weights consider using clothespins to hold your tablecloth.

My significant other attached clothespins to the picnic table by first taking the clothespins apart then drilling a hole through the clothespin. Then he put a screw through the drilled hole and screwed the clothespin to the underside of the table. Then he reassembled the clothespin. Below is a pic before he reassembled the clothespin.

I bought two tablecloths from Walmart and cut one to fit the top of the picnic table and the other one to fit the seats.

I attached the tablecloths to the picnic table with the clothespins. You can use a lighter to burn off the frayed edges after cutting to that the cut parts of the tablecloth don't come apart.

DIY Bra Hanger

Today I made this lovely bra holder. It was inexpensive and took minimal time.

I bought two packs of these suit hangers from Walmart for a little under $4 a pack.

My significant other used the golden colored wore picture hanger hooks above and screwed them, by hand, into the hanger.

Then I put them together. This particular brand of hangers had a bit of a curve to them to I hooked the hanger under the other hanger from behind.

I picked where I wanted the bra holder to go and hung a hook. Usually I use 3M hooks for everything but I was worried it may not be able to hold the weight since the hangers are wood so I opted for the hook above.

Ta Da!  I LOVE this bra holder. Now my bras aren't lying on my chair in my bedroom and taking up a ton of drawer space. If I could do this again I would use 15 hangers and go almost all the way from the ceiling to the floor.

Paint Glass Bottles

I used regular paint and funneled it into a couple glass bottles I bought at the Dollar Tree. I also cleaned out a Patron bottle and did the same thing. I rolled the bottles around and made sure the paint coated the inside. I let them dry indoors for a few days then I put them on the table on my patio.

Organize Your Spices

I bought this SpiceStor Organizing Rack for $8.99 on Amazon. It holds 20 spices. It comes in four strips with adhesive backs that each hold five spices. I just stuck it to the inside of my cabinets above the stove. This is a great buy!

Suitcase Upcycled to TV Case

While at an antique shop my significant other saw this old suitcase. We bought it for $25 and he said he wanted to put a TV in it. I thought he was crazy. This was completely his project and it turned out pretty awesome.

He cut the liner to mount the TV.

He measured the holes on the back of the TV and made a template.

Then he drilled small holes and attached the TV to the inside of the suitcase.

He added an extension cord, a TV antenna, and a media player.

Next he taped off the metal in order to prepare it for being spray painted.

He spray painted it turquoise.

This is what it looks like set up.

He cut and painted two small wooden squares to keep the case up.

Obviously this TV case is for traveling. It can be used for camping or taking to a hotel or anywhere that you may want to watch TV where there isn't one already. This project was simple and inexpensive.

The TV case looks good as a decorative feature in the music room too.

Paint Patio Cushions

Yes, you can paint patio cushions!

My patio furniture was dull and boring.

I painted the bench shown and two matching chairs.

I first primed it with one coat of primer. I used a roller for the top and a brush for the sides.

After I primed it I painted it with 2 coats of regular outdoor paint I bought from Walmart.

My significant other painted the wicker bench with regular white outdoor paint and primer using a paint gun.

This project was easy and made such a difference. The patio furniture has new life!

Glue Pom Pom to Dry Erase Marker

I use a dry erase marker everyday for a dry erase board I made that says "I love you because". I was just getting a paper towel and wiping it everyday but wanted something more convenient. I used a hot glue gun and glued a Pom Pom to the top of it to use as an eraser. Easy!
